We are one of only a few companies on the SFWPM who have voluntarily adopted a third party certified food safety program. Under this program we worked with one of the most qualified national food safety inspection and certification organizations to develop an operational and infrastructure plan that ensures our product is held and distributed appropriately. This program also includes third party reviews and inspections, as well as an annual recertification requirement. Our on-site Food Safety Manager takes all necessary steps to ensure Good Handling Practices (GHPs) are implemented and followed: https://www.ams.usda.gov/services/auditing/gap-ghp. Through employee food safety training programs, daily cleaning of the warehouse and equipment, and weekly testing, we ensure that the produce we sell is safe to consume. Our state of the art software provides us with the ability to immediately trace the origin of any product which may have been the subject of a recall and to identify and notify any affected customers. Our refrigerators are tested weekly and are always kept at the optimal temperature. As a result of our commitment to food safety, our customers can be confident that they are receiving produce that has been handled correctly and housed in a clean environment.
